What significant information did I learn from listening to these interviews?
I learned that a lot of the peolpe living in the Great Depression weren't in as poor living conditions as I thought. Most people, of all races were working somewhere. Whether it was a maid, or a meat butcher, or a mill worker, or a department store worker, most everyone had something they were able to do to make a living with. Another thing that surprised me was the fact that it wasn't only just black people and white people living in Alabama at the point. I saw nationalities such as scandinavian, polish, and west indian too.
